With heavy hearts we have left our home on Boayan Island but in exchange we made a pact with the developers to establish the Daplac Bay Marine Reserve with a project to rehabilitate the coral reefs and the marine habitats in general. Together with Palawan Cove we are starting a Coral farm which in a few years time will help to repopulate the coral reefs within the bay and eventually in other parts of Boayan Island, San Vicente and Palawan. So although we have officially left the house, we are still very much a part of the team that will reconstruct the reefs and establish the Marine Reserve, working hand in hand with the developers to keep the magic alive.
At the same time we are developing a new vacation idea for our friends and clients, for those who want to get away from the regular tourist hub of resorts and bars, for those who want to see nature at its most natural. Palawan is the playground with areas still not completely ruined by human stress, from North to South we will explore the possibilities by road on 4x4 vehicles, by sea on our sailboat the m/y Dersou, through rivers by kayak, or hiking on foot. It will be off the beaten track in luxury and as much comfort as we can offer. If you are curious and want to know more,

“ Fantasy Islet ”

“ For those who like their vacations quiet and their luxury discreet,
part of an island in the South China Sea can be rented by the week.
Boayan Islet, just off Palawan Island, comes with a staff of six and a boat.
Home is a palatial wooden bungalow on stilts,
the playground a lagoon, an there are any number of pristine
snorkeling holes waiting to be discovered. And the cost ?
Less than the price of a five-star hotel, say the owners.
Check out your very own fantasy isle

“..... This is an idyllic spot for the serious foodie whose concept of a holiday is
oiling and broiling in the sun,
waiting for the right time to drink that cold brew and reading a book.
Check out their web site at www.chinaseaisland.com .
It is not a resort, but they do take guests.
I could write about it, but half the fun is getting in and out of the island.
All I can say is that I'm going back !  .......”

“ ......I visited your web site today. The new pictures brought back great
memories of unforgettable and most wonderful honeymoon. .....
....We still love to travel though and have
recently returned from a trip to Anguilla, in the British West Indies.
It was very small and charming, a true Caribbean experience.
The beaches were exquisite, but nothing quite ever matches
your bay...

A bientôt,
Vincent ...(Shanghai)

“....Mais... Quelle semaine!

What you give to your guests is so good for the whole Body, Mind and Spirit. It is very rare to find, and very precious.
We really enjoyed meeting the two of you, and our evening meals and chats together.
Thank you so much! We will treasure the memories.
One of my biggest surprises was one morning when we were snorkelling,
Arthur looked up and spotted a troop of 5 or 6 monkeys down at the water’s edge, fishing or licking salt off the rocks or something.
That was amazing.
Another time, again while snorkelling; we were watching Hornbills up in the trees, creating a huge racket.
At first I thought they were Toucans, but when I saw the pictures on your website,
I realized what they were. I am a bit sorry I didn’t get to actually see the Tabun bird,
but I did get to recognise its cry, and could picture it in my mind’s eye when it called out.

With Love from Jean and Arthur xo J

merci Trina
