With heavy hearts we have left our home on Boayan Islan but in exchange we made a pact with the developers to establish the Daplac Bay Marine Reserve with a project to rehabilitate the coral reefs and the marine habitats in general. Together with Palawan Cove we are starting a Coral farm which in a few years time will help to repopulate the coral reefs within the bay and eventually in other parts of Boayan Island, San Vicente and Palawan. So although we have officially left the house, we are still very much a part of the team that will reconstruct the reefs and establish the Marine Reserve, working hand in hand with the developers to keep the magic alive.
At the same time we are developing a new vacation idea for our friends and clients, for those who want to get away from the regular tourist hub of resorts and bars, for those who want to see nature at its most natural. Palawan is the playground with areas still not completely ruined by human stress, from North to South we will explore the possibilities by road on 4x4 vehicles, by sea on our sailboat the m/y Dersou, through rivers by kayak, or hiking on foot. It will be off the beaten track in luxury and as much comfort as we can offer. If you are curious and want to know more,

here the old website
Private vacation rentals in Asia directly by owner,
you want to rent a beach house or a villa on a secluded island for your holiday
or your honeymoon
We live away in a wild island, off the beaten track
Yes
we rent our beach house for more or less a week from
time to time during the dry season to help us
with the maintenance of the place

The house hidden by the trees and shrubs of giant pandanus!
"trying to step lightly on the earth."
Live and dream…
It is a dream to live
away from the smog, the crowds and the tension of cities and towns. Here we
have tried to create a place that is both environment and
people friendly; a way of life semi-independent from the rest
of the world -- we bake our bread and pastries, we make sure the fish is fresh
by catching it ourselves or going directly to the fisher folk as they come in
from the sea, electricity is generated from the sun, and fresh water is pumped
from our well. We communicate with the outside world through radio and cellular
telephone.
We live with the animals in their natural element: the birds - kingfishers, eagles, hawks, hornbills, orioles, parrots, the scrub fowl who bury their eggs in the sand...; the reptiles - geckos, giant monitor lizards and frogs and the monkeys who visit the gardens from time to time; enough butterflies to please Nabokov and the gamut of insects who announce the dawn and the dusk. It is for them that we have tried to preserve the six hectares that surround the house. We are proud to say that we have been able to save some patches of virgin forest.

50 m from the house!

In trying to preserve the land we try to preserve the sea as well for we also live with the once numerous inhabitants of the sea: the sea turtles who come to lay their eggs on shore; the rays that glide through the water; the giant groupers and moray eels who live amongst the coral; the parrot fish, the clown fish, the angel fish, the butterfly, etc... and the jack, the barracuda, the king mackerel, the red snapper which tastes like lobster...the creatures who lorded it over the sea till man decided they were his for the taking, the selling and the trading…their habitats being destroyed in the process their numbers diminish dramatically…
We invite you to share this environment with us and to help in the efforts to preserve what is left of this fragile ecosystem
